Central England Academy Trust is commencing a consultation with all of our stakeholders on the proposal for Michael Drayton Junior School to join our Trust from September 2025. The consultation will run for 4 weeks from Friday 14th March until 3pm on Friday 11th April.

Higham Lane Sixth Form is delighted to announce its latest 2024 set of A-level results. Our students achieved an excellent 28% of grades at A*-A, 59% of grades at A*-B and 82% at A* to C. We achieved a highly credible B- as the average grade per entry.
Well done to the winners of the Co-Curricular Challenge! Miss Rowlands challenged Year 7-9 to attend 5 clubs during this half term. Each person who completed their card was entered into a prize draw. Well done to Olivia, Harnam, Gabriel, Isabelle, Drew and Alfie for winning - enjoy your golden ticket If you are yet to try a co-curricular, make it your target for next half term.
Miss Rowlands is running Nurture Club for Year 7 only on a Wednesday lunchtime! Each week different activities are run. We have had Friendship Bingo and this week we have made Halloween themed cards . Come and join!
On Wednesday, we held our 1st Student Council meeting of 2025/26 A representative from each form group Y7-10 was present. The purpose of Student Council is to hear from our students on what changes / adaptions we can make to HLS to make it even better. At the meeting, students were able to speak to our catering team regarding the canteen and express their views on the food and pricing system. We discussed future events, such as Culture Day and co-curricular activities that students want to see in school. Miss Rowlands and Mrs Mitchell have said how brilliantly the students spoke, articulating their form groups' views politely.
House Assemblies This week we had our first House Assemblies of this academic year. This was a fantastic opportunity to reward our students for demonstrating our Higham Lane Learner Vaules and also to present Honestas with the House Winners Shield and Luctamen with the Sports Day Shield for 2024-25!
