Job Opportunities

Welcome to the recruitment section of our website! I hope it will give you a real flavour of what a great place Higham Lane School is!

We often tell the students at Higham Lane that enjoyment and achievement go hand in hand. The same applies to our staff; they enjoy working here and it is that, more than anything else, which underpins their ambition and fuels their success. I have worked in five schools during my career and enjoyed each and every one, but I have to say that Higham Lane is a truly unique place. Our students have the benefits of working in a school that has a happy, caring and purposeful environment. The School’s mission is: `Helping Learners Succeed!' and our students are encouraged to do their very best in every aspect of their lives and to reach the highest standards.

My favourite quotation from our last highly-successful OFSTED inspection is: ``Students show exceptional attitudes to learning in lessons and are keen to achieve their best. There is a highly positive atmosphere in the School, and behaviour is outstanding.''

Your professional development is extremely important to us; we will develop your skills, enabling you to be successful in all aspects of your work and apply for promotion in the future, if that is what you seek. I hope you find the Staff Profiles helpful and that they give you a staff perspective on life at Higham Lane.

If you have time, why not come along and visit the school for an informal tour with our students. They will tell you about life at HLS from a learner’s perspective and answer all your questions! To book your visit, give us a call on 02476 388123. I look forward to reading your application and welcoming you to Higham Lane School.
