SUBJECT STARS OF THE WEEK
To mark the 110th anniversary since the beginning of the First World War, students in Year 8 and 9 at Higham Lane School have created a corridor or remembrance dedicated to soldiers from Nuneaton who lost their lives during the conflict. Each student has created a poppy dedicated to an individual solider, there are now over 500 of these poppies displayed along the History corridor where they will remain for the whole of November. We are honoured to honour them.
Our Headteacher and Head Students - Sofia and Richie - proudly attended the Act of Remembrance in Nuneaton yesterday. They laid a poppy wreath on behalf of everyone at Higham Lane School and Sixth Form alongside proud veterans, serving soldiers and dozens of armed forces cadets, Brownies, Guides, Scouts, Cubs and Rainbows.
