Year 6 Transition

Welcome to the Year 6 Transition section of our website!

We are delighted that your son or daughter will be joining us in September and look forward to working with both you and them.

We appreciate the move from primary to secondary school represents one of the biggest changes students will have experienced.  Consequently, in this section of our website you will find a range of information and activities intended to support students’ transition into secondary school alongside providing valuable information on how things work at Higham Lane.

Our new Year 7 Parents’ Evening will take place on Thursday 14th July 2022 at 6.30pm in Coombe Hall, this will afford you an opportunity to visit the school, meet some of our staff and ask any questions you may have in advance of September .

In addition please keep visiting our website regularly to access the latest materials, we also highly recommend subscribing to our social media feeds for the latest information.  You will find us on Twitter (@HighamLane), Instagram (@highamlaneschool) and Facebook (Higham Lane School).  

Although we anticipate most questions will have been answered in the New Student Handbook (which you'll find under the Life at Higham section of this website) alongside the videos, we are aware that there may be further questions which you may wish to ask.
